HSA Committees

Fundraising – This committee is responsible for developing fundraising activities that help generate funds necessary to enhance the educational experience of the children through supplemental programs and materials that the regular school budget cannot provide.  Our main fundraiser is an annual  Pot ‘O Gold Basket Auction.  However there are several other profitable programs as well

Hospitality – This committee prepares/serves refreshments at all school meetings and special functions, such as Back to School Night, Family Fun Night, Breakfast with Santa, and Pre-K/K graduation.

Legislative – This committee works to keep the HSA and school families informed of pending legislation and events that may affect our school and its families.  They alert the school community to action that needs to be taken (letter writing, fax, telephone) to ensure that our government representatives understand our concerns as parochial school families and voters.

Publicity – This committee works to communicate the accomplishments and attributes of our school to the public by communicating with the media (newspapers, cable TV, etc.) on current activities, as well as advertising on matters relating to the school.  Publicity will also assist with the school newletter as needed.

Spirituality – This committee organizes spiritual activities for the HSA, creating opportunities to put our faith into action.  Annual events include the Advent/Jesse Tree Dinner.

Social Concerns – This committee organizes activities which create an awareness of Church issues and social needs with opportunities to provide help and assistance to those in need.

HSA also organizes and presents several other community building activities throughout the school year.  These include a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner, Breakfast with Santa, Catholic Schools Week activities, and a Spring School Picnic.
