Christ the King School admits students of any race, color, creed and ethnic origin.

For entrance into the Pre-Kindergarten program, a child must be four years of age by October 1st. A child who is five years old by October 1, may be admitted into Kindergarten. New first grade students must be six years old on or before October 1. All new students entering Grade 1 - 8 are automatically placed on probation. This will give the parent and student adequate time for adjustment to the rules and policies set forth in the handbook.

No child shall be admitted to a school without proper proof that the child has been immunized as required by the laws of the State of New Jersey N.J.S.A 26:1 A-9. Proper immunization is a condition of admission to the school. No requests for religious exemptions will be considered.

Physical examinations are required of all students in third and sixth grade by their family doctor. A record of the annual dental visit is requested each September.

When students transfer from other schools, parents/guardians must provide copies of their academic and health records.
The School will maintain records on all students. Information included in these records may not be released without parental/guardian consent.

During Catholic Schools week (usually towards the end of January), watch for information regarding our Open House. At this time, we cordially invite you to review our curriculum, speak with our teachers and tour our beautiful modern school. New students will be able to register at our Open House. All registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Please be sure to have all required documentation listed above to ease your registration process.

Additional Information

Courtesy busing is provided from Hillsborough Township. Branchburg, Bridgewater, Raritan, Millstone, Franklin, Montgomery & Flemington do not currently offer busing services to our school but they will provide you with monetary compensation instead. We will provide you with the paperwork required for your transportation department when you register.

Uniforms

Christ the King School has their uniforms provided exclusively by the Flynn & O'Hara Uniform Company. No other uniform apparel from any other store is acceptable unless there is a medical necessity and a doctors note is provided. Flynn & O'Hara will normally send representatives to our school to measure your child for their uniforms in April. You will be sent information prior to their visit. You may also order on the internet at Flynn O'Hara . You may also choose to visit one of their stores. The most convenient location near us is their Hazlet store whose address is: Union Avenue Plaza, 1612 Rt. 36 & Union Avenue, Hazlet, NJ 07730, the store phone number is 732-888-3885. The store is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. On Wednesday and Thursday it is open from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. WE URGE YOU NOT TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST TO ORDER YOUR UNIFORMS. PLEASE GO EARLY TO INSURE THAT YOUR CHILD WILL HAVE THE COMPLETE UNIFORM FOR THE START OF SCHOOL.
